Job summary

Easy Skill is seeking an executive-level financial leader to act as CFO/Investment Director, guiding capital allocation and strategic investments across infrastructure, mining, construction, and related sectors. Qualifications

• Formal professional accounting designation (CA/CPA/ACCA) or equivalent.
• Proven track record as CFO, Finance Director, or Investment Director advising Boards on material capital investments.
• Extensive involvement in structuring major transactions, joint ventures, or multi-million-dollar capital project developments.
• Experience in commercial project costing, tender reviews, and cost-to-complete forecasting within project-based environments.
• Taxation expertise across Papua New Guinea and Australian regimes; cross-border financial administration.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Investment & Capital Allocation: Lead due diligence, financial modeling (IRR, NPV, ROI), valuation, and deal structuring for major acquisitions, joint ventures, and greenfield/brownfield developments.
• Operational Capacity Assessment: Evaluate whether proposed investments match practical execution capabilities, including working capital, plant equipment, supply chain logistics, and workforce capacity.
• PNG & Australian Taxation Oversight: Manage complex tax compliance and strategy across PNG and Australia; cover corporate income tax, GST, salary/wages tax, withholding taxes, and transfer pricing.
• Entity Separation & Governance: Ensure strict financial and accounting separation between parent and partner entities; oversee governance of jointly held enterprise.
• Executive & Board Advisory: Present investment proposals, downside analyses, project profitability reports, and long-term 3-5 year financial roadmaps to the Board.

The organization is a high-profile holding and investment company operating across infrastructure, industrial development, construction, mining, and property sectors. The business focuses on long-term shareholder value creation through disciplined capital allocation, strategic partnerships, and major project investments.

2. Scope

• Hierarchy: Reports directly to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors.
• Role Purpose: Serve as an executive-level strategic investor, financial lead, and commercial adviser. This role goes beyond traditional accounting to drive capital allocation, assess operational delivery capacity, oversee cross-border taxation, and maintain strict governance across jointly held investments.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Investment & Capital Allocation: Lead due diligence, financial modeling (IRR, NPV, ROI), valuation, and deal structuring for major acquisitions, joint ventures, and greenfield/brownfield developments.
• Operational Capacity Assessment: Evaluate whether proposed investments match the company's practical execution capabilities, including working capital, plant equipment, supply chain logistics, and workforce capacity.

4. Qualifications

• Certifications: Formal professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Proven track record as a CFO, Finance Director, or Investment Director advising Boards on material capital investments.
• Extensive involvement in structuring major transactions, joint ventures, or multi-million-dollar capital project developments.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial project costing, tender reviews, and cost-to-complete forecasting within project-based operating environments.
• Taxation Expertise: Practical knowledge of Papua New Guinea and Australian taxation and cross-border financial administration.
• Industry Background (Highly Regarded): Senior executive background in infrastructure, mining, construction, industrial development, logistics, private equity, or project finance.
• Personal Attributes: Commercially astute, independent thinker, operationally grounded, and capable of operating comfortably at the Board, lender, and investor levels.
