Job summary

Talent Trader Group Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to oversee shipyard steel fabrication, sub-assembly, and hull erection activities on-site in Batam, Indonesia. You will lead the planning and scheduling of steelworks to align with project delivery timelines.

You will ensure compliance with Classification Society standards, QA/QC requirements, and client specifications while optimizing manpower, materials, and equipment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of steel fabrication and management experience in a shipyard.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD familiarity is a plus.
• Willing to work full-time on-site in Batam, Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all shipyard steel fabrication, sub-assembly, and hull/block erection to meet delivery schedules.
• Develop and execute production schedules for steelworks aligned with shipyard objectives.
• Ensure all steel structures and fabrication comply with Classification Society standards, QA/QC requirements, and client specs.
• Optimize allocation of manpower, materials, and heavy equipment to maximize output and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with HSE to enforce site safety protocols and foster a strong safety culture.
• Manage, mentor, and evaluate performance of Steel Supervisors, trade foremen, and subcontractor crews.

Job description

Develop and execute production schedules for steelworks aligned with overall shipyard objectives.

Ensure all steel structures and fabrication activities comply with Classification Society standards, QA/QC requirements, and client specifications.

Optimize allocation of manpower, materials, and heavy equipment to maximize output and minimize material wastage.

Collaborate with the HSE department to enforce site safety protocols and foster a strong safety culture on work sites.

Manage, mentor, and evaluate the performance of Steel Supervisors, trade foremen, and subcontractor workforces.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant steel fabrication and management experience within a shipyard environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.

Willing and able to work full-time on-site in Batam, Indonesia.
