Job summary

Sampoerna Academy is seeking an ICT & Computer Science Teacher for AY 26/27 to inspire inquiry and develop tech literacy in our students. The role involves delivering engaging CS lessons and integrating Scratch, Python, robotics with Makeblock or Arduino, while collaborating with staff to uphold our STEAM-centered mission.

This position is available to join immediately and requires a relevant degree and hands-on classroom coaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Practical familiarity with Scratch (block-based coding) and fundamental Python.
• Experience in primary ICT or secondary Computer Science (Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE is an advantage; curriculum frameworks and coaching are provided).
• Enthusiasm for coaching hands-on robotics using Makeblock (mBot) or Arduino (Training and ready-to-use kits provided).

Responsibilities

• Plan, set and deliver standards for learning.
• Prepare and support critical thinking for student in classroom.
• Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
• Understanding of academic, social and behavioral needs and characteristics of high level student.
• Establish links with the parent community to ensure that parents are kept well informed about student progress.
