Job summary

Bloomreach is building an agentic personalization platform and developing AI agents to tailor the customer journey. The Staff Backend Engineer role is remote-first with offices in Bratislava, Brno or Prague and collaboration across US, India, and Europe.

You’ll contribute to Pulsar services, API design, and cloud-native backend systems used by thousands of customers, while maintaining high uptime and rapid releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing backend services in Python with data systems.
• Knowledge of web security principles (OWASP) and authentication/authorization practices.
• Experience designing APIs for a SaaS product.
• Experience operating services in production on public cloud infrastructure.
• Exposure to frontend development (Angular/React) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and contribute to the design of technical solutions and architecture.
• Develop and ship backend features used by thousands of customers.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate across teams via Slack/Zoom and Jira for planning and reviews.
• Draft tech design docs and iterate with teammates before implementation.
• Support production deployments and quick incident responses.
