Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Back End Developer to design, build, and optimize server-side systems and APIs powering AI products. This is a fully remote hourly contract based in Jakarta, with flexible hours and a focus on scalable infrastructure.

You will work on data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and microservices that handle real-world traffic at scale, collaborating asynchronously with a global team of engineers and researchers.

Qualifications

• Experience designing robust backend services and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful architectures and microservices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes; experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture to support AI workloads.
• Write clean, tested code with good docs and tests.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and external APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams of engineers and researchers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in architecture decisions.
• Work independently on task-based assignments with your own schedule.
