Overview
Support execution of Human Capital Strategy via application of HR initiatives, tools and processes within client group(s). Partner with client groups’ people leaders to deliver human capital solutions aligned with department/function performance goals and business strategy.
Reporting to: HR Director
Key Responsibilities
- People Services: Provide HR guidance/consultation to client group(s) in areas including competency development, talent management, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
- Coach and consult with people leaders on performance management, development, team morale, employee relations and organization effectiveness; help determine root causes and recommend next steps.
- Guide and ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment of all employees; consult on consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Establish and cultivate internal relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., HR Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, HR Operations) to drive consistency and execute initiatives that support the business.
- Present, train and/or facilitate workforce development programs; support communication on and utilization of performance management tools, processes and compensation & rewards programs.
- Lead and influence change management initiatives with people leaders to enhance performance and build the organization’s human capital capability.
- Conduct and manage investigations of complaints and concerns with potential legal ramifications; assess severity, involve appropriate individuals, and facilitate action based on policy and practice.
- Partner with HRBP to implement solutions related to culture and talent.
- Share feedback on regional/global policies to align with local needs and legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to leverage existing programs and reduce siloed/localized solutions where possible.
- Provide country feedback to HRBPs to enable solutioning (e.g., non-compete regulations).
- Harmonize and standardize HR approaches/processes; implement and champion global HR solutions.
- Support legislation and employment changes as required by law.
- Coordinate with Payroll to ensure timely monthly payroll submission to external payroll vendor.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and local government/regulatory bodies; ensure timely communication and compliance; manage labor inspections and submission of required employment documentation.
- Maintain and update location-specific Handbook/Policies to comply with local law.
- Front audits for HR-related topics where applicable.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience in an MNC; at least 10 years total HR experience. Experience with culture initiatives, employee benefits, and HR-related tax matters preferred.
- Strong proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; Tagalog is advantageous but not mandatory
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical, medical device and/or healthcare industries preferred
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian employment legislation
- Trustworthy with high integrity; able to maintain confidentiality and engage the right people at the right time
- Effective communication skills balancing business and employee needs
- Resilient and adaptable; comfortable with ambiguity and evolving environments
- Strong drive for results; hands-on with good follow-up and urgency
- Technologically savvy with strong skills in Microsoft Office and HR portals
