Job summary

Nium is seeking a Compliance professional in Jakarta to join its regulatory reporting team. The role focuses on preparing and submitting regulatory reports, data validation, and ensuring adherence to Bank Indonesia regulations for payment systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, English proficiency, and the ability to work across internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Bank Indonesia regulations, payment systems compliance, KYB/onboarding controls, regulatory reporting & audit handling.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and reporting software.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Strong communication skills for interactions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
  • Gather, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources to generate comprehensive and accurate reports.
  • Conduct data reconciliation where needed and address discrepancies before submitting reports.
  • Maintain open communication with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless reporting processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary, addressing inquiries and providing requested information.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to implement improvements in data extraction and reporting systems.
  • Maintain organized and secure records of regulatory reports, supporting documentation, and communication for audit and reference purposes.
  • Stay current with laws and regulations applicable to PSP, monitor changes in such regulatory requirements and proactively adjust processes to ensure continued adherence.
  • Collaborate with other compliance team members to interpret and implement regulatory changes effectively.
  • Assist the Compliance Officer with drafting, reviewing and updating Compliance policies and implementing the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Assist the Compliance Officer with implementing a Compliance Training Program and delivery of compliance training to various stakeholders as required.
  • Assist the Compliance Officer with preparing Regulatory Reports for the Board of Directors and senior management as needed.
  • Assess compliance within the institution with internal controls processes and systems via walkthroughs and testing.
  • Provide recommendations and collaborate with various departments to address identified compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Bank Indonesia regulations (PJP Activity Bundle 2), Payment systems compliance framework, KYB (Know Your Business) / onboarding controls, Regulatory reporting & audit handling, Compliance advisory in financial services and Engagement with regulators (Bank Indonesia / relevant authorities).
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools, and reporting software.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reporting and data reconciliation.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in regulatory reporting, or compliance departments is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required (especially fluency in English).
  • Ability to work effectively and diligently on own initiative and within a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of reporting requirements and the local regulatory framework applicable to Financial Institutions mostly Electronic Money Institutions or Payment Institutions.
