A leading technology company in Jakarta seeks a contracted DBA Database Administration to manage SQL Server setups and troubleshoot performance issues. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in complex infrastructures and be fluent in English. This contract role is expected to last until December 31st, 2024, with an option to extend.

Responsibilities

• Setup and manage SQL Server environments including mirroring and clustering.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and support migration activities.
• Participate in weekend on-call rotation.

Job description

Our group (TPE Database support) would like to hire contracted outsource DBA Database Administration with following qualifications.

SQL Server DBA

• Hands on experience working in multinational company with complex infrastructure.
• Fluent in English communication (Writing, Speaking, Listening, Reading, Explaining on Something, Express the idea, Challenge others politely) will communication with Swiss -
• Proven DBA skills by hands on experience not conceptual such as;
  • Setup Mirroring Failover for both automatic and manual (Primary, Secondary, Witness)
  • Setup SQL Server Clustering. Always On
  • Fixing performance issue ie: locking process, index fragmentation, memory & CPU pressures
  • Support migration activity (hands on)
  • Hands on experience in handle troubling shooting issue.
• Hands on experience using Microsoft Failover Cluster manager is mandatory
• Hands on experience using Commvault Commserve Backup and Recovery is mandatory
• Hands on experience in AWS environment such as RDS SQL Server, SQL Server in EC2 is mandatory
• Hands on experience using Service Now is mandatory
• Hands on experience in creating Power Shell scripting for SQL Server (Automation) will be BIG PLUS ! ie: automation for SQL Server patching, automatic SQL Server installation
• Hands on experience using AWX Ansible will be BIG PLUS !
• Hands on experience using Bitbucket will be BIG PLUS !
• Hands on experience using JIRA will be BIG PLUS !

• No Cowboy style (must follow PMI policy and procedures) thoroughly

• No Issue with working time schedule.
  • Jakarta shift 1 : 6 AM 3 PM WIB or Jakarta shift 2 : 10 AM 7 PM WIB
  • Weekend On-Call rotation (once a month)
• Expected joining date : June 1st, 2024
• Contract duration : until December 31st , 2024 (with extendable option)
