About the role

We is seeking an experienced Specifier Manager to join our team in Jakarta on a full-time basis. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for managing relationships with specifiers and architects, ensuring our fire safety products and solutions are properly integrated into building designs and projects. This position plays a crucial part in driving sales through the specification process and maintaining market presence within the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector. You will work primarily from our Jakarta office, liaising with key decision-makers across the construction and engineering industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, and specifiers to promote safety products and solutions
• Provide technical guidance and product specifications to support the specification process on construction and infrastructure projects
• Conduct product presentations, training sessions and workshops with specifiers and design professionals
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create tailored specification materials and marketing collateral
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure remains competitive
• Track and report on specification activities, project pipelines, and conversion rates
• Support tender processes and project bids by providing technical specifications and documentation
• Manage specifier databases and maintain detailed records of key relationships and project opportunities
• Liaise with internal technical teams to ensure product compliance with industry standards and building regulations
• Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to build brand awareness and network with specifiers

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a specifier management, technical sales, or business development role within manufacturing or fire safety industries
• Strong knowledge of fire safety products, building codes, and fire protection regulations in Indonesia
• Proven track record of managing specifier relationships and influencing specification decisions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex technical information to diverse audiences
• Understanding of the architectural and engineering design process and project procurement cycles
• Proficiency in using CRM systems and database management tools
• Fluency in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Architecture, or a related field
• Knowledge of ISO standards and fire protection certifications is advantageous
• Willingness to travel to project sites and attend industry meetings as required
