Job description

Specialist Patent Life Science (Chemistry/Pharmacy)

Carrying out correspondence processes with both clients and the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) accurately, and ensuring that these activities are properly communicated and documented;

Managing the receipt and delivery of documents, and ensuring that these activities are properly communicated and documented;

Sending reminders to DJKI regarding unresolved client IP applications, and ensuring that these activities are properly communicated and documented;

Sending reminders to clients, and ensuring that these activities are properly communicated and documented;

Providing on-the-job training guidance to new Patent Life Science staff (instructed by Supervisor);

Performing translation tasks within the specified timeframe;

Submitting and taking responsibility for reports delivered to Supervisor.

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Chemical Engineering;

A minimum of 2 years of experience working in patent law, preferably within Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Chemical Engineering;

A strong understanding of patent laws, regulations, and procedures;

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information;

Proficiency in patent research, drafting, and prosecution, as well as experience in patent portfolio management;

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
