A major mining company in Indonesia is seeking a Specialist in Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) to support the implementation and monitoring of ESG initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, focusing on compliance, reporting, and training related to ESG standards. Strong analytical and communication skills, along with proficiency in ESG data tools, are essential for this role. An ESG or sustainability reporting certification is a plus.
· Support the implementation and monitoring of ESG initiatives across the organization by collecting, analyzing, and reporting ESG-related data. Assist in ensuring compliance with ESG regulations and standards while promoting ESG awareness and integration within internal processes.
· Support the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG-related data from various departments.
· Assist in the preparation of ESG reports and documentation based on defined frameworks and regulatory requirements.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of ESG policies, procedures, and compliance programs
· Coordinate with internal teams to promote ESG awareness and support the identification of ESG-related risks.
· Conduct benchmarking and maintain awareness of ESG trends, reporting standards, and stakeholder expectations.
· Prepare routine ESG performance summaries and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
· Assist in the coordination of ESG-related audits, assessments, and external disclosures.
· Deliver ESG-related training materials and awareness sessions to relevant departments.
· Recommend opportunities for improving ESG reporting accuracy and efficiency, including the use of digital tools or automation where appropriate.
· Other duties as assigned.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related field;
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, compliance, or related areas. Mineral mining industry background preferred.
Strong knowledge in ESG data collection and validation aligned with GRI, SASB, or TCFD standards; Ability to interpret ESG regulations and integrate them into compliance and operational practices; Proficient in ESG data management tools and platforms; Skilled in preparing ESG reports, conducting ESG benchmarking, and tracking regulatory developments; Capable of delivering ESG awareness materials and supporting training programs; Analytical mindset with strong communication and coordination skills.
ESG or Sustainability Reporting certification (such as GRI Certified Training) is an advantage; Environmental or compliance-related certifications are desirable;
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
