Job description

We are looking for an exceptional Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at El Kabron Bali. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. This full-time position is based in Badung, Bali.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen activities and staff to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation

Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and implement creative and innovative menu items that align with the restaurant's concept and vision

Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards throughout the kitchen operations

Monitor and maintain stock levels, placing orders for ingredients as needed

Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, helping to develop their skills and expertise

Assist with the management of kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions if necessary

Work closely with the Front of House team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen

Formal culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts or a related field

Extensive knowledge of international cuisines especially Spanish and Mediterranean, food trends, and culinary techniques

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively

Proficient in the use of kitchen equipment and technology

A passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and a commitment to delivering high-quality food
