GE Vernova in Bandung, Indonesia seeks a Senior Sourcing professional to lead the repair-shop procurement team, optimize supplier performance, and drive safety, quality and cost improvements. You will manage end-to-end purchasing, negotiate terms, and coordinate with material and production teams on critical supply issues.

The role requires 3+ years in Sourcing/Procurement within a manufacturing setting, plus strong English and Indonesian communication abilities.

Formación

• Advanced experience in Sourcing & Buying-Procurement.
• At least 3 years sourcing or material experience.
• Experience in leading teams and cross-cultural settings.
• Experience managing end-to-end supply chain and negotiated agreements.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably gas turbine related.

Responsabilidades

• Lead safety through supplier qualification to prevent on-site risk.
• Collaborate with quality teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
• Oversee material and service fulfillment and improve base performance.
• Drive lead-time reduction via planning strategies and Kaizen.
• Lead cost-reduction projects and identify alternative suppliers.
• Negotiate payment terms to support cash flow and on-time payments.
• Develop and execute a plan to transform sourcing into a best-cost supply chain.
• Train and coach team on policy and procedures.
• Use sourcing expertise to handle complex supplier-management scenarios.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and daily-management tools.

Job Description Summary

Lead Sourcing group and related team for PTG repair shop to drive supplier performance on safety, delivery, quality, cost and cash. Manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Safety: Lead supplier qualification to ensure all vendors working on site are qualified on safety to avoid safety risk
• Quality: Work with quality team and SQEs to solve supplier quality issue and drive on recovery plan
• Material and Service Fulfillment: Manage and improve supply base performance and oversee red/yellow flag process, partnering with material and production team to prioritize, prevent, and/or solve production material issues
• Leadtime reduction: Work with material and production team to implement material planning strategy and drive supplier Leadtime reduction through stocking agreement, advance orders and value chain improvement through Kaizen and tools
• Cost reduction: Work with shop team and engineering team to define and implement savings projects, develop alternative suppliers and material to achieve cost target
• Payment on time: Negotiate payment term with vendor to help company on cash position, and solve the AP issue to ensure on time payment to suppliers
• Strategy: Lead creation and execution of the plan to transform the shop sourcing team and supplier base into a high-quality, best cost and best Leadtime supply chain that leverages the power of Repair Network and Gas Power Team
• Development: Train and Coach Sourcing and buyers on policy, procedure and develop expertise
• Problem solving: Utilize Sourcing expertise to manage complex supplier management situations, and to identify improvement opportunities
• Continuous improvement: Drive the continual improvement on sourcing process by utilizing Lean and daily management tools

Required Qualifications

This role requires advanced experience in the Sourcing & Buying-Procurement. At least 3 years sourcing or material experience. Demonstrated cross-cultural people and team leadership Understand the end-to-end supply chain consideration and methods of driving continuous improvement Demonstrated experience creating and working with negotiated agreement Experience on managing team Experience on manufacturing environment Experience on Gas Turbine repair or related industry. Can communicate well in English and Indonesia Local language.
