Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and test planning/strategy.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright for automation.
• Experience with Jira, TestRail, or similar defect-tracking tools.
• Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum.

As a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will lead testing activities, establish effective testing strategies, and ensure adequate test coverage across software applications. You will collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to identify risks, analyze defects, oversee manual and automated testing, and drive continuous improvements in software quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, testing strategies, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Lead manual and automated testing activities to ensure adequate test coverage and software quality.
• Analyze, document, and track defects, coordinating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform regression, integration, functional, and system testing to validate application quality.
• Monitor testing progress, defect trends, and production issues to identify quality risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing activities align with project timelines and requirements.
• Recommend improvements to testing processes, automation practices, and overall quality assurance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and test strategy development.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software quality management.
• Ability to analyze defects, assess testing risks, and improve test coverage to minimize production defect leakage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
