This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineering Manager, Cells Infrastructure in EMEA or Canada.
In this role, you will lead a globally distributed engineering team at the heart of a cutting-edge DevSecOps platform. You’ll be responsible for scaling and optimizing the Cells Infrastructure—an ambitious initiative that enables a more modular, high-performance system architecture. Acting as both a technical and people leader, you’ll focus on empowering engineers, driving innovation, and ensuring the team delivers critical components that shape the foundation of a next-generation software platform. You’ll collaborate across product, infrastructure, and reliability teams to deliver impactful, scalable solutions in a remote-first, high-performance environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing global engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
- Hold regular 1:1 meetings, provide feedback, and guide career development for team members.
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define and execute the team’s technical roadmap.
- Oversee delivery on key initiatives, including the development of foundational services supporting a scalable Cells architecture.
- Facilitate agile processes and continuously improve operational efficiency across projects.
- Support incident management and ensure the availability and resilience of core infrastructure systems.
- Empower technical decision-making while maintaining accountability for final outcomes and delivery quality.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience leading software or infrastructure engineering teams working on large-scale, distributed systems.
- Strong track record of managing high-performing, cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment across multiple time zones.
- Proven ability to deliver foundational architecture or platform services in a complex SaaS environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on leadership approach.
- Deep understanding of agile delivery and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong technical foundation with credibility in engineering discussions and decisions.
Nice to have
- Experience with cellular or modular architecture migrations.
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Go, TypeScript, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
- Background in enterprise developer tools or open-source contributions.
