Job summary

JAPFA is looking for a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain software modules and services, working with QA/DevOps on CI/CD and releases. The role requires strong SQL, Python/Node.js, and BI tooling experience, with willingness to be based in Surabaya.

You will engage in code reviews, debugging, and production issue resolution while contributing to documentation and continuous technical improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong SQL skills with understanding of databases, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau) and Python/Node.js; API integration.
• Familiar with SDLC/Agile/Scrum and Jira/Confluence; willing to be based in Surabaya.

Responsibilities (Indonesian)

• Merancang, mengembangkan, menguji, dan memelihara modul serta layanan perangkat lunak.
• Menulis kode yang bersih, aman, dan mudah dipelihara sesuai dengan standar engineering.
• Melakukan code review, debugging, dan analisis akar penyebab (root cause analysis) terhadap permasalahan atau defect pada aplikasi.
• Mendukung aktivitas pengembangan Agile, termasuk pelaksanaan sprint dan penyelesaian backlog.
• Bekerja sama dengan tim QA dan DevOps dalam proses pengujian, CI/CD, serta aktivitas release/deployment.
• Memantau kinerja aplikasi dan mendukung penyelesaian masalah pada lingkungan produksi.
• Memelihara dokumentasi teknis dan artefak pengembangan.
• Mendukung perbaikan berkelanjutan, refactoring, dan peningkatan teknis sistem.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with a solid understanding of databases, data warehouses (Snowflake/Oracle), and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experienced in using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Proficient in Python and/or Node.js, with a good understanding of API integration and communication.
• Knowledge of data visualization principles, dashboard design, and data pipeline development.
• Familiar with IT project development methodologies (SDLC, Agile/Scrum, or Waterfall) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with willingness to be based in Surabaya.

Requirements (Indonesian)

• Kualifikasi Minimal S1 Teknik Komputer, Ilmu Komputer, atau bidang terkait.
• Menguasai SQL serta memahami database, data warehouse (Snowflake/Oracle), dan proses ETL/ELT.
• Berpengalaman menggunakan Business Intelligence tools seperti Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, atau sejenisnya.
• Menguasai Python dan/atau Node.js serta memahami integrasi dan komunikasi API.
• Memahami prinsip visualisasi data, desain dashboard, dan pengembangan data pipeline.
• Memahami metodologi pengembangan proyek IT (SDLC, Agile/Scrum, atau Waterfall) serta familiar dengan Jira, Confluence, Figma, atau tools sejenis.
• Memiliki kemampuan analitis, problem solving, komunikasi, dan stakeholder management yang baik serta bersedia ditempatkan di Surabaya.
