Job description

As a Social Media Officer, you will play a key role in shaping and executing our digital presence. You’ll be responsible for developing engaging content, building community interaction, and ensuring our social media platforms reflect our brand’s creative identity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the company's marketing and communication goals.
  2. Develop creative, engaging content tailored to different platforms and audiences, including text, images, videos, and graphics.
  3. Manage and maintain the company's presence across multiple social media channels, ensuring regular updates and profile optimization.
  4. Engage with online followers by responding to comments and messages, sparking conversations, and growing community interaction.
  5. Use analytics tools to track KPIs, generate reports, and optimize content and strategies based on performance insights.
  6. Stay informed on the latest social media trends, algorithm updates, and new platforms to keep our digital presence relevant and competitive.

Job Requirements

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
  2. Skilled in content creation (writing, visuals, and video editing)
  3. Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Google Analytics)
  4. Familiarity with audience segmentation techniques and digital trends
  5. Awareness of copyright, privacy, and compliance in social media use

Experience:

  1. Proven experience managing social media channels for a brand or company
  2. Hands-on experience creating platform-specific content
  3. Experience in community management and online audience engagement
  4. Ability to plan and execute digital campaigns with measurable outcomes
  5. Prior use of insights and data to drive engagement and strategy

Technical Proficiency:

  1. Proficient in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing software
  2. Comfortable working with analytics platforms to gather performance insights
  3. Skilled in content scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer)
