A leading packaging solutions provider is seeking a Process Engineer to establish production process standards for slitting, doctoring, and packing areas. The role requires at least 6 years of experience in aseptic packaging manufacturing and expertise in high-speed slitting machines. Candidates will also support operator training and collaborate on quality improvements, ensuring continuous operational efficiency.
Responsible for the establishment of production process standards of aseptic packaging material on Slitting, Doctoring and Packing Area, and the continuous improvement of those standards.
Job Description:
Establish production process standards for each process step and all the products within Slitting, doctoring and packing cell.
Define and establish process parameters, equipment parameters and operation methods, including the development of relevant documents to support the process operations.
Support the production process in the development and training of production operators.
Support the project engineers in the development and improvement of production processes.
Participate in the research and development of new products and the establishment of new process standards
Collaborate with Quality in the definition, monitoring and improvement of Quality Control Points
Participate in the root cause analysis of customer complaints and follow up the implementation of actions related to process engineering.
Participate actively in improvement teams and promotion of continuous improvement activities.
Participate in other tasks assigned by direct supervisor, on time with good quality and results.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Metal / Mechanical engineering, or equivalent Degree in related field.
Have work experience in similar industries (Packaging) and have a certain understanding of cutting equipment;
Have minimum 6 years of experience in slitting process within aseptic packaging manufacturing
Have a certain ability to handle exceptions and be able to withstand certain pressures.
Experience using high speed slitting machine (1200 M/minutes) wide band. Experience with IMS (AZ7-and T2D) machines will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of inspection machines. Experience with Zeugma or IMS machines will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of packing line equipment such as : conveyor lines, plastic shrinkage oven, Palletizing crane , stretch film applicator, etc
Good knowledge of Lean six sigma, TPM, Kaizen, WCM, or any continuous improvement methodology
