A leading company in paints and coatings is seeking a Site Quality Manager to oversee quality functions at their facility. The ideal candidate will have a background in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, with responsibilities including managing quality systems and process improvements. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with industry standards and optimizing customer satisfaction.
Site Quality Manager (SQM) is the ambassador of the customer at the site.
SQM leads the site Quality function and supports the achievement of business objectives and goals.
The SQM manages the Quality Self Improvement program and facilitates customer & certification audits.
The SQM establishes and maintains a quality management system (QMS) tailored to the specific site needs, as well as to AkzoNobel (AN) and regulatory requirements.
The SQM is involved in site Management of Change (MOC) processes and approves changes impacting product quality.
The SQM guides the site towards process control improvements through efficient quality data analysis, specifically driving RFT.
The SQM applies a continuous improvement / ALPs approach for the site QC to optimize customer satisfaction efficiently. This includes strategies to reduce manufacturing-related complaints and Total Cost of Quality (TCoQ).
The SQM provides guidance and mentoring in the use of Quality tools and Best Practices with support from the CIM.
Leading new product introduction and transfers, in line with AN Quality Management system guidelines.
The SQM acts as Site Product Steward, ensuring compliance with Product Stewardship standards.
Planning and developing talent management initiatives in collaboration with HR.
Key Responsibilities:
Required qualifications include at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the industry, with a background in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, knowledge of quality systems and standards, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is required.
