Overview

About the role

This full-time Shutdown Scheduler role is an exciting opportunity to join the team at PT Merdeka Tsingshan Indonesia, a leading processing company based in Morowali, Central Sulawesi. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating all stages of the shutdown schedule and preparation before, during, and after shutdown execution. Collaborating with relevant departments to determine shutdown duration, time, list activity and resource needs; organizing regular progress meetings, addressing issues, and taking corrective actions, and providing daily, weekly, and final shutdown progress reports.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate all stages of shutdowns, including pre-shutdown, execution, and post-shutdown activities.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to determine shutdown duration, activities, and resource needs.
  • Organize regular progress meetings, address issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and final shutdown progress reports.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in planning or scheduling; experience as a Shutdown Scheduler or in a similar shutdown planning/scheduling role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of shutdown processes, project management principles, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and clear information delivery.
  • Ability to manage and strictly adhere to schedules, multitask efficiently, and organize resources effectively.
  • Skilled in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project), spreadsheets, and other collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to build professional integrity, manage emotions, foster teamwork, and apply inclusive practices in the workplace.
