Shopify Web Developer (Project Based)

Substance is looking for a talented Shopify Web Developer to join our team on a project-based basis. This exciting role involves designing, building, and maintaining custom Shopify stores that align with our clients’ business objectives and provide exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and customize Shopify themes based on client specifications, ensuring they meet branding and functional requirements.
2. Integrate third-party applications and services to enhance the functionality of Shopify stores.
3. Implement SEO best practices across all web pages to ensure high visibility within search engines.
4. Manage and troubleshoot existing Shopify installations, providing ongoing support and solutions for clients.
5. Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to create intuitive navigation and user-friendly interfaces.
6. Conduct testing and optimization to ensure high performance and responsiveness on all devices.
7. Stay updated with the latest Shopify updates, tools, and industry trends to provide innovative solutions for clients.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
2. 2+ years of experience in Shopify development, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
3. Proficiency in front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templating language.
4. Experience customizing and integrating Shopify themes and apps to enhance user experience.
5. Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, especially in relation to UI/UX design.
6. Familiarity with SEO principles and tools to optimize Shopify sites.
7. Ability to work independently and effectively manage project timelines and deliverables.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
9. Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
