An established manufacturer in wood products is seeking a qualified individual to operate heavy-lift forklifts and manage product loading. The role requires basic computer and mathematics skills, with a strong focus on safety and customer relations. The position will be able to: identify product sizes; operate automatic tools and machines, including lift booms and automatic strappers; understand stock rotation; efficiently use the barcode system; load trucks and railcars according to driver safety requirements; and complete appropriate paperwork, including loading diagrams.
Basic Qualifications: Familiarity with operating procedures for heavy-lift forklifts, including safety checks, forklift maintenance, and troubleshooting. Must possess basic computer skills, be proficient in mathematics to ensure inventory accuracy, and capable of maintaining good customer relations practices.
