We are seeking a qualified professional to oversee the implementation of operational safety protocols and engineering standards for our fleet. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing operational safety protocols and engineering standards for the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.
- Coordinating regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits with relevant departments.
- Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures to maintain the condition and seaworthiness of the fleet.
- Managing crewing activities, including recruitment, training, and deployment of qualified personnel.
- Providing comprehensive ship management services to meet client needs and expectations.
- Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
- Reviewing, negotiating, and amending contracts related to ship management activities.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and industry regulations.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system manual.
- Establishing and enforcing safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and environmental protection measures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in ship management or as a seafarer with 10 years of managerial experience.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in contract negotiation, administration, and management.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and safety management systems.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for ship management and technical operations.
- Certification or licensing as required by relevant maritime authorities or professional organizations.
