Job summary

Samudera Indonesia is seeking jetty operation and support personnel in Sorong to handle cargo, vessel mooring, and daily jetty tasks. You will monitor loading/unloading, inspect equipment, and report ship activities, while ensuring health, safety, and port security guidelines are followed.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year in jetty/port work, a SMA/SMK diploma, and are comfortable on day/night shifts in challenging outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum graduated from Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
• Have at least 1 year of hands-on experience working in jetty, port, or terminal.
• Physically fit for outdoor work under various weather conditions.
• Understand basic workplace safety rules (K3/HSE) and PPE use.
• Highly disciplined and able to work in a team; willing to day/night shifts.
• Willing to be placed in Sorong, Papua Barat.

Responsibilities

• Report day-to-day activity related to ship operations, starting from cargo receiving on board.
• Flag issues during shipping operations and coordinate with relevant teams.
• Check documents such as delivery notes, invoices and other shipping papers.
• Optimize resource use and provide ship position updates.
• Update stakeholders on ship activities, personnel, refinery and fleet changes; assist in mooring and unmooring at the jetty.
• Monitor cargo loading/unloading to ensure safe and smooth operations.
• Inspect jetty equipment (ropes, fenders, safety gear) before and after operations.
• Coordinate with ship crew and control room on docking and departure times.
• Maintain jetty area and adhere to all HSE rules at port.
• Contribute to Integrated Management System and risk control within the department.
• Participate in accident/incident investigations and information security controls.

Regularly report day to day activity related to ship operations starting from cargo receiving activities on board. 2. Report if there are any problems when carrying out shipping operations. 3. Check various documents, such as delivery documents, invoices, also other documents related to shipping operations. 4. Optimize utilisation of resources and prepare ship position updates. 5. Update relevant stakeholders on daily task such as: ship activities, personnel, refinery and fleet changes.Assist in safely tying up and releasing vessels (mooring and unmooring) at the jetty terminal.6. Monitor and support the cargo loading or unloading process to ensure it runs smoothly and safely.7. Inspect and maintain basic jetty equipment, such as ropes, fenders, and safety gear, before and after operations.8.
