Server and Network Hardware Support Specialist (Great Room and Flexibility Work)
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain server and network hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve complex server and network hardware issues.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
- Document service calls, repairs, and procedures in detail.
- Manage spare parts inventory for servers and network devices, ensuring efficient stock levels.
- Analyze spare parts usage patterns to anticipate future needs and prevent stockouts.
- Work with the supply chain department to maintain a reliable source for spare parts procurement.
- Implement efficient procedures for tracking, issuing, and managing spare parts.
- Utilize your certifications from major hardware Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to troubleshoot hardware issues and optimize performance.
- Stay informed on OEM product updates, warranties, and support options.
- Leverage OEM knowledge to identify the most appropriate spare parts for specific equipment.
- Collaborate with OEM support teams for complex issue resolution, if necessary.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in server and network hardware support.
- Network+ and Server+ certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Experience with inventory management principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications from major server and network hardware OEMs (e.g., Dell EMC, HPE, Cisco).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Local/PR preferred.
