Job summary

Speechify in Jakarta is seeking an experienced Windows desktop lead developer to design and deliver native applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and optionally C++.

You will own feature lifecycles, drive architecture, enforce best practices, and collaborate with design, QA, and product teams to ship reliable, accessible software across Windows 10/11+. Strong leadership and communication are essential to guide a team and shape the long‑term Windows platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML and ideally native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture, including interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production desktop apps with focus on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong accessibility experience on Windows and a commitment to inclusive software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps.
• Define and enforce best practices for architecture, performance, memory usage, and cross-version compatibility.
• Drive accessibility efforts and ensure UI automation, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning and roadmap.
• Own full lifecycle of features from conception to maintenance and release.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and rendering issues.
