Job summary

BookCabin, based in Jakarta, seeks an experienced Video Editor to lead the creative process from raw footage to a final cinematic output. You’ll edit campaigns, commercials, and branded stories, applying advanced cinematography skills to craft emotionally engaging visuals.

Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve is required, with a strong emphasis on mood, lighting, and narrative rhythm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Video Editor with strong cinematography skills.
• Portfolio/reel showcasing cinematic storytelling, advanced editing, and color grading.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve (for color), and other editing tools.
• Strong understanding of visual composition, lighting, and camera movements.
• Ability to create mood and emotional depth through editing rhythm.
• Experience with motion graphics/animation is a plus.
• Highly detail-oriented, creative, and able to work under deadlines.
