Job Description

The Senior Teaching Manager is responsible for overseeing the academic functions of the center, maintaining and improving academic quality, recruiting, supporting and developing teachers, and coordinating related administrative tasks.

Supervision: Reports to the Center Director and Academic Operations Manager

  1. Teacher recruitment and teacher evaluation
  2. Supporting and assisting teachers with duties such as lesson planning and marking
  3. Induction and training of teachers
  4. Finalizing the teaching schedule
  5. Teaching classes as assigned
  6. Arranging substitution for absent teachers
  7. Dealing with complaints concerning the academic operations of the center
  8. Ensuring that teachers prepare a lesson plan and necessary materials in advance for every lesson
  9. Ensuring that teachers complete the class attendance register accurately and promptly for every lesson
  10. Ensuring that teachers keep timely and accurate lesson and homework records
  11. Ensuring that teachers keep up-to-date records of assessment scores
  12. Ensuring that teachers complete student reports and certificates
  13. Conducting meetings with parents and students as required
  14. Conducting placement tests when required
  15. Planning, running and participating in the center's professional development program
  16. Any other related administrative tasks that may arise
  17. Handling disciplinary procedures for teachers
  18. Assisting with marketing activities

Requirements

  1. TESOL/CELTA qualification
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  3. IELTS speaking score min. 7.5
  4. Ability to prioritize multiple projects
  5. The ideal candidate will be someone who works well in a team, has a positive attitude, likes meeting people, is passionate about teaching and making friends.
  6. Organized and detail-oriented
  7. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in management, ideally in the service industry
