Job summary

McDermott International is seeking a procedure production welder to consistently meet the minimum quality requirements on site in Tangerang, Indonesia. You will carry your Welder Qualification Card, attend safety and quality meetings, and ensure welding procedures are followed.

You will inspect equipment, prepare joints per WPS, manage hoses and cables, and report any non-conforming welds to the foreman. This role emphasizes safety and compliance with company conduct standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry personal welder qualification card on site at all times
• Attend TBSM and TBQM on time
• Ensure a valid WPS is available for joints to be welded
• Survey area and minimize risk of fire, explosion or injury from welding
• Inspect welding equipment for safe operation
• Maintain welding tools and cables safely
• Report non-conforming welds and rectify as advised by Foreman
• Remove slag, spatter and clean weld to a presentable finish
• Adhere to safety, quality and Code of Business Conduct

Job description

Procedure production welder which consistently achieve or surpass the minimum quality requirements. Ensure compliance with HSE policy and any Overriding Company Policies.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Carry personal welder qualification card on site all times
• Attend TBSM and TBQM on time
• Always ensure the is a valid WPS available for joint to be worked on and adhere to it
• Survey surrounding area and act to minimize the risk of fire, explosion or injury which may be caused by the welding process
• Inspect welding equipment ensuring that it is a safe working condition
• Take care the welding equipment such as quiver, wire feeder, chipping gun, air grinder etc.
• Routing of welding cables and hoses in a safe manner
• Maintaining the condition and legality of all hand tools and equipment
• Report any non-conforming fit-ups or preparation to foreman
• Visually inspect the complete weld and substrate material adjacent to it for any welding no-conformances or damage
• Report to the foreman any welding non-conformance or damage and carry out rectification work as advised by the Foreman
• Fill up the matrix box for the welder ID(Stamp), WPS, Preheat and date of completion
• During welding and after welding remove all slag, spatter and clean weld with appropriate method leaving it in a presentable condition
• High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct
