Job description

DANA Indonesia is currently looking for a skilled and highly motivated Senior Staff Data Governance Engineer to join our team in Jakarta.

This senior individual contributor shall drive company initiatives in building tools, infrastructure, and frameworks for Data Governance, as well as driving the Data Department's Privacy Operations in accordance to the Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law.

Job Description:

1. Designing, building, and operating highly available and scalable Data Governance infrastructure on the Cloud
2. Designing, maintaining, and operating the Data Governance Framework (Asset and Access Management, Standardisation, Business Process Mapping, Service Level Agreement Management, RACI Matrix) across the Data Department
3. Designing, maintaining, and operating the Privacy Operations practice to meet the requirements of the Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law
4. Assessing and auditing Data projects for potential Data Governance and Privacy issues right from the early product design phase until the last-mile phase of deployment into production system
5. Governing the ad-hoc and on-duty processes across the Data Department, and serving as the escalation point of various stakeholders on data-related inquiries

6. Preparing necessary documents and orchestrating processes in order to meet mandatory regulatory audits and industry-standard certifications

7. Being the VP's and Manager's technical counsellor in designing a future-ready Data Governance infrastructure and operations

Job Requirements:

1. You have 5+ years of Data Engineering or Analytics experience, with at least 3 years
exposure on the aspects of Data Management and Governance
2. You enjoy working at the intersection of Engineering, Operations, and Policy-making
3. You have deep understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Privacy, both in theory and in practice — preferably with an existing relevant certification such as ITIL, DAMA Data Management Association, etc
4. You are fluent in Python, SQL, and Bash scripting for building data infrastructure
5. You know how to work with modern Cloud Platform, and you do not shy away from getting your hands dirty in bridging the ideal and the present reality

6. You have a keen interest towards Operational Excellence, with an eye in driving continuous process improvement

7. You are naturally inclined into optimising complex systems and business practices, both performance-wise and cost-wise
