Project BOM cost tracking and management, including CBOM cost updates based on design and market changes, cost summaries and reports, cost analysis, and changelog management. Identification of cost opportunities and risks, CPM analysis, etc.
Sourcing plan management
- Monitoring new part and supplier statuses, critical parts risk assessments, tooling status tracking, and BOM part decision alignment with cross-functional teams (including decisions on new/carryover, make/buy, critical parts).
Meeting and change management
- Representing the sourcing team in project meetings, ensuring actions are tracked and followed up. Managing ECR/ECN changes, tracking, and updating costs accordingly.
Cost reduction initiatives
- Supporting VAVE discussions with suppliers and cross-functional teams for cost reduction and profit improvement.
Support for new projects
- Coordinating activities such as new samples/prototypes, tooling, DFMA, and document collection (CDF/FCM) from the sourcing perspective.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, mechanical, or engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in project costing or sourcing, preferably in manufacturing industries such as home appliances or automotive.
- Strong skills in project cost management, CBOM cost analysis, TCO, and cost breakdown concepts, with knowledge of procurement tools and manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, electronics, assembly).
- Understanding of project and schedule management from sourcing perspectives across project gates and milestones.
- Proficiency in English communication, with experience working in global multinational teams preferred.
- Ability to think strategically, work independently, problem-solve, analyze data, and synthesize information effectively.
