Job description

The Senior Merchandiser, Product Development will be responsible for developing garment samples for assigned products/styles, working closely with the Merchandising teams of vendors. They will support identifying cost-saving opportunities, onboarding new vendors, and executing the department's innovation agenda within the assigned brand.

Responsibilities include:

1. Downloading tech packs and BOMs
2. Collaborating with vendors on development sampling and initial costs
3. Following up with vendors on system updates
4. Managing wear-test and tailoring samples
5. Updating systems with costs and details
6. Coordinating MST legacy ID communications for purchase orders
7. Partnering with brand design, R&D, and suppliers to develop innovative, quality products
8. Working with Mill management, QA, and technical teams to resolve fabric or quality issues
9. Continuously improving internal and external processes

Qualifications:

• Experience in merchandise sourcing, sample development, with offshore production exposure, preferably in a large buying office or trading company
• Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and influence at all levels
• Strong analytical skills to proactively suggest solutions to meet deliverables
• Eagerness to learn and explore new approaches
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, and team-oriented
