Senior Software Engineer (Golang Developer)

Role Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer at WidaTech, you will be part of a highly agile team of developers who are supportive, collaborative, and driven to tackle unique project challenges. Our team emphasizes commitment, ownership, and continuous improvement to deliver quality and accountability. You will work closely with your team and cross-functional partners to build, implement, maintain, and improve robust systems for our clients. We seek passionate individuals with proven results in Software Engineering who can also mentor and guide team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of junior engineers, including task breakdown and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as front-end developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers to ensure project success.
• Design, implement, and optimize high-performance, scalable systems using Golang.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Write efficient, testable, and maintainable Go code.
• Analyze, debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and system issues.
• Develop and optimize database queries and stored procedures to ensure effective database performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in back-end development with a focus on Golang.
• Ability to lead by example, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Familiarity with Golang syntax, packages, and key libraries.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with quick adaptability to new technologies.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL database interactions, and basic web services.
• Experience with version control systems like Git; familiarity with Docker or cloud platforms is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, openness to feedback, and team collaboration.
• Eagerness to learn and stay updated with industry trends, striving for continuous personal and professional growth.
