Our Senior Software Engineer on the Fusion Team will play a key role in our Client Services team.

This role is based remotely in Indonesia.

The Opportunity

Client Services is the consulting department of DoiT composed of senior Cloud Architects around the world who work with our customers to advise on how to build complex solutions on AWS, GCP, and Azure.

DoiT has decided to invest into technology to take our consulting experience to the next level through application of technology, and for that we are establishing a dedicated software engineering team to propel the technology that powers the utility belts of our consultants.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to our initiative of developing cutting-edge solutions to streamline our consulting work and boost productivity. You'll work with the latest technology from GCP, AWS, and others, including Generative AI, to build scalable and efficient software solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established team, helping to set the technical direction and best practices for software development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and other team members to ensure alignment with department and business needs
• Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality, maintainable software
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to ensure adherence to coding standards
• Apply agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, work prioritization, and delivery of incremental improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, conducting root cause analysis and implementing necessary fixes
• Integrate different systems and design efficient data flows
• Contribute to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software development using Go, TypeScript, or Python
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Experience building event-driven, cloud-native applications on GCP or AWS
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous delivery
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong getting-it-done attitude
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
• Fast learner and keen to pick up new skills
• Familiarity with monitoring performance, uptime, and system usage

Bonus Points

• Experience with React.js
• Experience integrating third-party services and APIs
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and/or Pulumi
• Associate or Professional level cloud certifications
• Familiarity with cloud cost management / FinOps practices
• Contributions to open-source projects
