Position Overview:

Is your ambition to become an expert in software development, specializing in backend using Node.js for international projects? Then, we at Incentro have a challenge for you!

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Incentro Asia Pacific, you will work on projects built with Node.js, connecting to either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work closely with the customer to build robust and scalable backend solutions. Together with your development (Scrum) team, you will be involved in building new applications or further developing existing user platforms.

Key responsibilities:

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for:

• Design and build scalable and efficient backend services using Node.js.
• Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and other stakeholders to bring our clients' visions to life.
• Optimize and Improve: Ensure that backend applications are fast, secure, and scalable. You'll constantly look for ways to optimize performance.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with the latest backend technologies and trends, especially within the Node.js ecosystem. We love innovation and expect you to bring fresh ideas to the table.
• Mentor and Lead: Guide junior developers and share your expertise. Your leadership will help elevate our entire development team.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.

• 5+ years of relevant backend development experience with a strong focus on Node.js.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar.
• You can navigate terminal and git.
• You know how to write (unit) and integration tests for your code.
• You have experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• You've worked with oAuth and know common authentication patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• You know what Agile and Scrum are and enjoy working in a Scrum team.
• Fluency in English is a must (both written and spoken).
• And last but not least: you enjoy coding and building awesome digital solutions, and love elevating the people around you to reach new heights, together!
