Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Implement requirements definition processes and standards.
2. Independently conduct requirements research, feasibility analysis, project estimation, and proposal documentation for small-to-medium projects.
3. Perform reverse engineering analysis on new (or similar) systems.
4. Contribute to drafting Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and System Requirements Documents (SRD) for large-scale projects.
5. Participate in completing BRD/SRD for medium-scale projects.
6. Review BRD/SRD for small-scale projects.
7. Prepare requirements proposals or analysis reports.
8. Review user test plans.
9. Participate in user testing.
10. Engage in user acceptance testing (UAT).
11. Support user training sessions.
12. Track and manage requirement changes.
13. Monitor industry trends and conduct sector-specific research/analysis.
14. Coach high-potential talent in project proposal drafting and high-level design.
15. Deliver related training programs.
16. Contribute to feasibility study reports or solution proposal development.

Educational Requirements:
Full-time undergraduate or master's degree in majors related to science and engineering, such as computer science, software engineering, big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things, network engineering, information, communication, electronics, etc.

Skill Requirements:

1. Post-project transition to maintenance lead (training provided during project).
2. Java: Experience with Spring Framework (UI) and DB-access Java programming (Batch).
3. VB: VB.net or .NET experience (UI/Batch for field terminals).
4. Development skills or C + SQL proficiency (needed only for legacy code analysis, not new development).
5. Java build tools (Maven), WebLogic deployment, Windows server operations.

Professional Knowledge:

1. Solid understanding of fundamental business concepts and common business practices.
2. Familiarity with the business framework of sub-domains and proficiency in ≥40% of related sub-processes and their terminology.
3. Comprehensive grasp of end-to-end workflows for specific sub-processes.
4. Working knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware/software, networking and information security principles.
5. Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
6. Understanding of project management methodologies.

Industry Knowledge:
Demonstrated expertise in business operations of at least one industry sector.

Communication Skills:

1. Expert-level business communication skills.
2. Full professional competency in foreign language (listening/speaking/reading/writing).
3. Advanced skills in mainstream productivity suites (MS Office/Google Workspace).
4. Proficient in requirements gathering and analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
5. Working knowledge of process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, ARIS, Enterprise Architect).
6. Operational knowledge of OS administration, network configuration, and hardware setup/maintenance.

Language Requirements:

1. Japanese: JLPT N2 or equivalent (International Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Level 2).
2. English: CET-6 equivalent (China's College English Test Band 6).

Experience Requirements:

6 years of professional experience in systems analysis and IT solution design, with successful completion of end-to-end system analysis for 2 projects, covering requirements gathering, technical specifications, and solution design. OS/MW migration experience is a plus.
