Job Description

The Senior Sales Manager will have a defined sales territory, market segment(s), and account list, possibly working in a job-sharing setup. The primary responsibility is to generate business through prospecting and responding to inquiries. A significant portion of time should be dedicated to new business development. The role involves managing sales activities in line with the annual sales and marketing plan to meet or exceed revenue targets.

  1. Identify market trends and marketing opportunities to enhance hotel performance.
  2. Consistently seek new business to expand the client base, focusing on the market segments assigned by the Director of Sales.
  3. Develop and grow an account list, handle incoming leads, and close sales.
  4. Plan, execute, and follow up on sales trips as approved.
  5. Collaborate with other sales team members and engage with key clients at multiple levels within their organizations.
  6. Participate in sales meetings, sharing market insights and development activities.
  7. Attend tradeshows, business functions, and travel as required by the Director of Sales.
  8. Organize familiarization visits for clients to the hotel and facilities.
  9. Support the development of the annual Business Plan, Hotel Budget, and Marketing Plan as requested.
  10. Build strong client relationships through attention to detail, prompt follow-up, and professional empathy.
  11. Prepare sales reports on volume, potential, and expansion opportunities.
  12. Manage daily sales activities efficiently through weekly and monthly action plans.
  13. Maintain effective communication and teamwork with other departments.
  14. Assist the Credit Department in following up on overdue accounts.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role within international hotel chains in Indonesia.
  • Knowledge of international markets such as Korea, Japan, and India.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with reliable execution and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; spoken Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Customer-focused, adaptable, open-minded, and attentive to quality.
