A leading company in manufacturing seeks a Senior Quality Specialist responsible for maintaining and implementing quality assurance standards. This role will enhance product quality in accordance with regulatory requirements within the food and pharmaceutical sectors, offering growth opportunities and a competitive salary package.
The Senior Quality Specialist is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance standards and systems for our manufacturing operations, including those at contract manufacturers (OEMs). This role will ensure that products meet internal quality specifications, customer expectations, and relevant regulatory requirements, particularly within the food and/or pharmaceutical sectors. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and mitigating quality risks and driving continuous improvement in quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Quality Management:
Lead and manage all quality control and assurance activities on the production floor to ensure compliance with established standards.
Oversee in-process quality checks and final product inspection.
Quality Data Analysis & Risk Prevention:
Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data (e.g., defect rates, process capability) to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.
Proactively issue warnings and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential quality risks.
Quality Issue & Complaint Resolution:
Lead investigations into quality abnormalities, non-conformances, and customer quality complaints.
Develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Quality at OEMs:
Manage and oversee the quality aspects of new product mass production at contract manufacturing (OEM) sites.
Ensure OEM adherence to quality standards and product specifications during NPI phases.
Quality System Development & Optimization:
Develop, document, implement, and continuously improve quality management systems, procedures, and work instructions.
Ensure quality documentation is current, accurate, and accessible.
Contract Manufacturer (OEM) Quality Improvement:
Assess and monitor the quality management capabilities of contract manufacturers.
Collaborate with OEMs to implement quality improvement initiatives and enhance their overall quality performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a production quality management role, specifically within the Food & Beverage or Pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrable experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP).
Solid understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
Proven ability to manage quality for new product introductions and oversee OEM quality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal teams, management, and external partners (OEMs).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Resilient and able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Proficient in [e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Quality Management Software].
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Fluency in English or Chinese(both written and verbal) is essential.
Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly advantageous.
