Job summary

DayOne invites applications for a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, design, and construction of mission-critical data centre facilities across Asia and beyond. You will manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to high safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, overseeing regulatory requirements, risk management, and successful handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8-12+ years of project management experience in data centre or critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data centre construction projects from initiation through commissioning and handover.
• Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Manage internal teams, external vendors, contractors, engineers, and consultants.
• Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to design specs, codes, and standards.
• Ensure permitting, inspections, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and risk factors.
• Oversee quality control, health and safety, and change management processes.
• Manage financial tracking, budget adherence, and cost optimisation.
• Coordinate commissioning and integration of electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
• Ensure project documentation and handover to operations are completed.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and construction of mission‑critical data centre facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management within high‑availability environments. You will be responsible for delivering data centre projects on time, within scope and budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 8-12+ years of project management experience, ideally in data centre or critical infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects with mechanical and electrical complexity.
• PMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of tools like MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD/Revit, and BIM.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with hyperscale or colocation data centres.
• Understanding of IT, networking, and cabling requirements in data centres.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in fast‑paced environments.
