Job summary

  • Analyze costs and present options to the Product Development manager.

Job description

Job Location: Semarang

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for product development for specific vendors.
  2. Establish business and technical rapport with vendors.
  3. Collaborate with Engineers, Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain Optimization (SCO), and Testing/Lab teams on new developments for vendors.
  4. Translate specifications and target costs to meet vendor capabilities.
  5. Analyze costing and present viable options to the Product Development manager.
  6. Manage and monitor brands’ calendars and create specific timelines.
  7. Manage vendor visits and provide updated reports.
  8. Follow up on outstanding issues with vendors and brands.
  9. Update the Product Development database and distribute weekly logs, newness reports, and other reports as necessary.
  10. Ensure on-time sample delivery.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Competencies & Experience:

  1. 5+ years of sourcing/merchandising experience, especially in furniture.
  2. Ability to collaborate with teams and work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
  3. Strong follow-up skills, sense of ownership, and attention to detail.
  4. Effective communication with stakeholders across different time zones and timely responses.
  5. Proficiency in English and Indonesian, both written and spoken, including presentation skills.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with overlapping seasonal calendars.
  7. Ability to influence internal and external partners to deliver results.
  8. Ability to uphold WSI standards and expectations.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
