Job Location: Semarang
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Act as the primary point of contact for product development for specific vendors.
- Establish business and technical rapport with vendors.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain Optimization (SCO), and Testing/Lab teams on new developments for vendors.
- Translate specifications and target costs to meet vendor capabilities.
- Analyze costing and present viable options to the Product Development manager.
- Manage and monitor brands’ calendars and create specific timelines.
- Manage vendor visits and provide updated reports.
- Follow up on outstanding issues with vendors and brands.
- Update the Product Development database and distribute weekly logs, newness reports, and other reports as necessary.
- Ensure on-time sample delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Competencies & Experience:
- 5+ years of sourcing/merchandising experience, especially in furniture.
- Ability to collaborate with teams and work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong follow-up skills, sense of ownership, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication with stakeholders across different time zones and timely responses.
- Proficiency in English and Indonesian, both written and spoken, including presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with overlapping seasonal calendars.
- Ability to influence internal and external partners to deliver results.
- Ability to uphold WSI standards and expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
