Job summary

DayOne seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in its data centers in Batam, Indonesia. You will ensure reliable HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, and fire suppression while guiding a skilled team.

The role requires a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 7–10 years in the field with 3–5 years in management, and strong, proactive leadership for 24/7 operations. PE certification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of data center mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, fire suppression).
• Proven experience leading technical teams in 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, operation and maintenance of mechanical systems in data centers.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate maintenance with vendors and contractors to minimize operational impact.
• Ensure safety, compliance and documentation for audits and certifications.
• Support strategic initiatives and budgeting related to mechanical systems.
