Qualifications

Senior Manager - Operations & Fulfilment - SEA

Danfoss Power Solution (DPS) is a leader in the mobile and industrial fluid power industries with components that are commonly used in the construction & mining, oil & gas and marine, agricultural, discrete manufacturing and processing industries.

For our growing projects, systems & services business in Southeast Asia we are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead our overall fulfilment & operations activities. From our facilities in Jakarta and Singapore, we are delivering customized solutions and turn-key projects mainly to customers in the Palm Oil, Mining as well as Marine, Oil & Gas industries. Our scope of supply includes design and delivery of complete hydraulic power units & systems, as well as automation and SCADA solutions, which we partially do in-house or with our system integration partners. Field installation and on-site commissioning is conducted by our experiences field support team in cooperation with our local partners.This position is based in Jakarta, reports to the Director – Packaged Systems, has local P&L responsibility, and is part of the global Packaged Systems leadership team.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following -

  • Overall fulfilment & operations process in line with agreed targets and performances KPI, including continuous improvements activities in the following areas:
    • Supply Chain Management- includinglocal procurement, logistics & material flow, transportation, warehouse & inventory management
    • Production- includingin-house as well as external manufacturing, assembly & testing of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
    • Quality Assurance- for in-house operations and external suppliers, incl. customer claim handing
    • Technical Support- includingon-site installation & commissioning in co-operation with local system integration partners
    • Project Management -based on SAP Engineer-to-Order process, incl. project costing (pre-sales) and end-to-end process from order receipt & processing, production planning to invoicing
    • Environmental, Health and Safety- accordingto local and company standards, ensuring compliant operations and processes
  • Close cooperation with Sales and Application Engineering on all technical, commercial and contractual aspects, incl. the initial Project Approval Process (pre-sales).
  • Local Profit & Loss as well as KIP like On-time Delivery, Past Due, Inventory, Quality PP
  • Team leadership and development for approx. 30x team members with 6x direct reports

  • Educational Foundation & Leadership: Bachelor’s in business, engineering, or related field, with 10+ years in manufacturing and operations management, preferably in industrial hydraulics and/or automation
  • Additional experience in Palm Oil industry would be an advantage
  • Manufacturing & operations mastery: expertise in custom manufacturing, production, supply chain management, and project management of complex turn-kex projects
  • Leadership & People Skills: Proven ability to inspire, communicate, and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Savvy: Strong problem-solving skills, able to proactively identify solutions and drive improvements.
  • Experience in working in a matrix organization of an international enterprise
  • Experienced in working in an SAP environment as our central ERP system
  • Positive attitude and a team player.
  • Good conflict management and negotiations skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and proven track record in leading a diverse team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
