PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk is a holding company for a business group engaged in nickel and other mineral mining, processing, and other related activities that are vertically integrated with the strategic mineral value chain and electric motor vehicle batteries. We are looking for experienced and qualified talent to join one of our subsidiary PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM) for the following positions:
Senior Manager Environmental
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) majoring in Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Forestry, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the mining industry at HSE Division especially Environmental Department.
- Certified POP but preferable POU certification.
- Fluent in English (writing, speaking, and listening).
- Expert in waste management (hazardous waste, emission, wastewater & etc.)
- Expert in Environment standard & certification (ISO 14001, PROPER, IRMA, IFC etc.).
- Understand all government regulation related ESG (Environment, Social & Government) standard.
- Placement: Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi.
Key Roles:
- Compile, develop, and determine key factors (strategic factors) that must be met regarding environmental standards both short term and long term required by government and company regulations.
- Ensure that the company comply with Indonesian and international standards such as IFC for financial institutions and certifications such as ISO & IRMA.
- Leading and implementing cross-departmental environmental improvements to ensure compliance with environmental standards when there is an increase in production both within SCM and contractors.
- Conducting gap analysis and compiling concrete steps in meeting PROPER standards.
- Review the compliance of all environmental systems and procedures in accordance with the latest regulations.
- Review compliance with all lines of Environmental Management Standards to ensure that all risks are under control and Performance is as planned.
- Working and maintaining it so that the environmental parameters set by the government and companies are achieved and do not exceed the quality standards at the point of compliance.
- Establishing an effective Manpower Planning and organizational structure to support the performance of the environmental division.
