Job summary

Glints is seeking an experienced IT Leader to join its client’s technology team in Batam, Indonesia. The Senior Manager (Team Lead) will drive Integral Life Delivery Management, lead a team of developers, and ensure high standards for delivery and quality.

The role requires 10+ years in Life Insurance app development, hands-on COBOL/AS400 experience, and strong leadership and stakeholder skills. It is based on-site in Batam with a focus on lifecycle delivery and performance management.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or a related field.
• 10+ years of application development experience within the Life Insurance industry.
• Strong and hands-on experience with Integral Life / Life Asia COBOL system – MUST HAVE.
• Experience leading and managing development teams.
• Intermediate knowledge of AS400, COBOL, SMART/400, Control Language (CL), and SQL.
• Strong analytical, impact analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Positive attitude, resilience, initiative, and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a team of application developers.
• Managing team performance, capability, resource planning, and development.
• Leading Integral Life system requirement gathering, impact analysis, solution design, development, testing, UAT support, and deployment.
• Overseeing BAU and project-related system delivery.
• Ensuring solutions are delivered within scope, timeline, quality, and agreed SLA.
• Supporting production incidents and system-related issues.
• Working closely with business stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, technology teams, and system owners.
• Providing technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior developers.
• Ensuring compliance with SDLC, security, development, and system standards.
