Job summary

Vandil is hiring a Senior iOS Developer for a part-time, contract role based in Jakarta. You will build and ship features in Swift, integrate with the Firebase/GCP backend, and maintain a high-quality, scalable codebase.

The role permits fully remote work, with a focus on delivering robust mobile experiences. You will collaborate with the founder to shape product design and mobile architecture, and you may mentor new engineers as the platform evolves.

Qualifications

Senior iOS Developer — Part-Time, Contract (Remote, Jakarta)

Vandil is an AI-native law firm building a new kind of legal operating system. We're looking for an iOS developer based in Jakarta to join us on a part-time, contract basis — someone who takes pride in clean, well-crafted mobile experiences and wants to be part of something being built from the ground up.

This is a foundational role. You'll work closely with our founder to build and iterate on the client-facing iOS application that sits at the heart of our platform — the interface through which our clients access legal intelligence, track compliance obligations, and engage with our team.

What you'll do

You'll own the iOS side of our platform: building and shipping features in Swift, integrating with our Firebase/GCP backend, and maintaining a clean and performant codebase as the product evolves. You'll work closely with our web team to ensure a consistent experience across platforms, and you'll have a genuine say in how the product is designed and built. As the platform grows, there's scope to take on broader responsibility — including mentoring future hires and shaping our mobile architecture.

More about you

You have at least 3 years of professional iOS development experience, with a strong command of Swift and the UIKit/SwiftUI ecosystem. You're comfortable consuming REST APIs and working with real-time data — experience with Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions) is a strong advantage. You write code that's readable, testable, and maintainable, and you understand what it means to ship production software that real users depend on.

You're comfortable working independently and remotely. You can manage your own workload without hand-holding, meet delivery commitments, and communicate clearly across time zones. You care about the quality of what you ship, not just getting it done.

You're based in Jakarta. While the role is fully remote, we're specifically looking for someone in Jakarta for this engagement.

The role

This is a part-time, contract engagement to begin with. Hours and scope will flex around client demand and delivery milestones — we’re not looking for someone to clock in and out, we’re looking for someone who can deliver. Work is fully remote.
