Job summary

PT Royal Lestari Utama is seeking a GIS Section Head to lead spatial data management and geospatial analysis supporting land management and forestry planning. You will oversee data accuracy, coordinate drone-based mapping, and ensure regulatory compliance across projects.

The role requires 4–5 years in GIS, proficiency with ArcGIS/QGIS/Agisoft, and strong English communication. Expect collaboration with internal teams to optimize operations and planning processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geography, Geology, Geodesy, Forestry or related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of GIS/geospatial experience.
• Experience in plantation/forestry or natural resources is preferred.
• Proficient in ArcGIS, QGIS, and Agisoft for data processing.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis and reporting.
• Experience managing SLUS/Area Statement and Land Bank data.
• Good communication and coordination with internal and external teams.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise GIS activities including data management, mapping, and analysis.
• Maintain SLUS/Area Statement database and Company Land Bank data for accuracy.
• Integrate GPS, drone, satellite data and field data for mapping.
• Perform map digitization, georeferencing and format conversions.
• Coordinate GIS databases, thematic maps and operational maps.
• Support RKTPH and RKUPH planning with accurate spatial data.
• Assist forestry planning and land-use analyses with GIS insights.
• Coordinate drone mapping and field verification when required.
