Job summary

Arup Indonesia seeks a senior geotechnical engineer to lead and deliver geotechnical services for infrastructure and building projects from investigation through design and construction support. The role emphasizes managing analyses, developing practical designs for local ground conditions, and mentoring junior engineers within multidisciplinary teams in Jakarta.

The position offers collaboration with clients and stakeholders and growth opportunities within Arup’s Indonesia geotechnical team,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Indonesian licenses/certifications (SKA/SKK and STRI) are required or advantageous.
• 7–8 years of geotechnical consulting experience in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical interpretation, soil-structure interaction and foundation design.
• Experience with PLAXIS, Slope/W and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior geotechnical design Work across a broad range of projects from investigation to construction support.
• Coordinate technical and design inputs for geotechnical projects, ensuring high quality delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support client engagement and business development within the Infrastructure Group.
• Assist in EOIs, proposals, tender submissions, and technical reporting to clients.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and promote best practices in geotechnical engineering.
