Job description

Evaluate and analyze prospects and leads as well as provide direction for selecting areas with the potential to be explored further.

Assist in the preparation of short, medium and long term activity patterns based on the exploration concept and ranking of prospects and leads.

Considering and directing the application of new exploration concepts and methods and technologies in order to obtain efficient and effective means of exploration activities

Assist in preparing work plans and budgets for aspects of geological exploration

Plan, monitor and witness the implementation of the exploratory drilling program such as making a well prognosis, determining core points, determining the type of electrical log recording, recommending intervals for perforation and completion of wells.

Make an evaluation of the risk factor calculation and the economics of exploration prospects and then determine the priority of prospects ready to be drilled.

Review and recommend exploration reports such as drilling reports, study reports, field survey reports, prospect and lead status, etc.

Recommending exploration drilling programs, logging programs and well completion programs as well as conducting post-drilling evaluations.

Manage and optimize the use of all available exploration data for the discovery of new structures.

Collaborating with the geophysics section or related functions for GGR study plans, Review Play Concept Exploration, geological surveys, drilling exploration wells and development wells.

Coordinate with SKK Migas to present exploration activities proposal such as geological & geophysical survey, G&G study, exploration well drilling and tools/software support to perform interpretation and analyses of subsurface data.

Assist in preparing a field development plan (POD) on the discovery of new reserves based on technical considerations and economic principles. Supervise all drilling activities and geological surveys related to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) aspects.
