Job summary

Nusantics Group is seeking a senior software engineer in Jakarta with strong frontend leadership to own architecture and drive complex features using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind.

You will mentor engineers, review backend work with Go, and shape the design system while coordinating with product, design, and QA. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, agile delivery, and effective collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience, including 2 years leading or mentoring engineers.
• Senior frontend proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind, with ownership of frontend architecture.
• Sound engineering judgement and design system experience, able to justify trade-offs.
• Backend understanding to review backend work, with Go proficiency.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, able to document decisions and engage senior stakeholders.
• Experience with agile or Scrumban delivery and AI-assisted development tooling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical decision maker for day-to-day engineering within product direction.
• Contribute hands-on frontend development at senior level with complex feature architecture.
• Provide backend review and contribute as capability develops, with the VP and team.
• Plan and schedule technical maintenance, including refactoring and debt reduction.
• Participate in infrastructure planning and gradual ownership transfer.
• Own test environment management in coordination with QA.
• Assist with stress testing to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Run sprint planning, refinement, and estimation from the engineering side.
• Establish AI-assisted development practices and tooling conventions for code quality.
• Hold regular technical sync with VP of Digital Product, Product Design, and QA.
