Job summary

Grab is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (Flutter) to join the Merchant App Flutter team in Jakarta. You will develop and enhance merchant-focused features, optimize performance, and contribute to scalable mobile architecture.

Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, you will own end-to-end delivery, write tests, participate in code reviews, and help mentor teammates while advancing mobile tooling and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Flutter engineering experience designing, launching, and optimizing mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
• Comfortable structuring code using clean approaches like MVVM or state management using reactive paradigms.
• Familiarity with app metrics and performance optimization factors such as API usage, storage, and battery drain.
• Experience writing testable code, end-to-end unit tests, designing APIs, and automation techniques.
• Experience managing a technical feature or significant app area, owning end-to-end functionality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance app features to improve merchant workflows, ensuring the app is efficient, responsive, and user-friendly.
• Design scalable programming solutions using best practices such as dependency injection or MVVM.
• Analyze and optimize app performance addressing issues like response time, battery use, and storage impact.
• Write robust unit tests and integration tests; collaborate with QA to maintain quality during releases.
• Maintain current features, resolve bugs, and ensure long-term performance goals; participate in on-call rotation.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and AI tools.
